I am sure that everyone who is reading this is aware of what Groupon is. It is a site that offers daily deals in your area. This site has become wildly successful especially because of todays economy. Since Google strives to be the best at everything, they have recently come up with an idea "google offer" that is meant to become groupons competition. The video above was very cute and entertaining. It also showed the great variety of deals that they will be offering. I am skeptical as to whether or not this will be very successful. It may be a case of too little too late. But nonetheless, we all love deals! This could mean that both of these ventures will be successful, since people will just get deals from both of them! How exciting :] A Google spokesperson states that ""Offers is part of an ongoing effort at Google to make new services that give consumers great deals while helping connect businesses with customers in new ways." I am curious to see how this all plays out and am pretty optimistic about it. How about you?
