Bounty - Makes small work of BIG spills

I recently came across this advertising campaign for bounty paper towels. They are a rather simple product and this campaign made a big impact. These sort of over the top advertising techniques have become very popular lately. On 7th Avenue in New York, busy commuters were greeted by a giant coffee cup knocked over and spilling onto the sidewalk - complete with steam and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. This was something that could not go unnoticed. It was used to show the absorbency of bounty paper towels. The emphasized what sets them apart from other paper towel brands.

This same advertisement  tetechnique was used in LA as well! In Los Angeles, weekend shoppers found a giant, 550 pound ice cream melting in the Third Street Promenade.
